Would you rather see exciting thoughtful films that flip the script or would you feel better off in a mega-cineplex watching Leonardo in a dull Hollywood formula movie?

If you’re feeling anything like us here at the Massive Selector studio, you’d rather experience something that’s breaking the mold and coming from a perspective less heard. From today until Sunday, March 16th, the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival makes its 21st annual appearance, providing a showcase of films written and directed by Asians or Asian Americans. The festival’s film selections from around the world are always inspiring, provocative, and challenging. Check out the website for more info: http://www.naatanet.org/festival/2003/html/index.html

As official sponsors of the festival, we are also co-presenting the Directions in Sound show which is the music showcase of the film festival. In addition to music videos, we will be putting on a very special show of South Asian Underground music meets Hip-Hop. Look out for some of the greatest artists and DJs in their musical form as they bring it all together under one united dance floor on Saturday night.

This event celebrates these two ground-breaking movements, with:

Mutiny meets Dhamaal: A rare meeting between New York's legendary Mutiny Crew (featuring DJ Siraiki and DJ Rekha) and San Francisco's own Dhamaal (featuring Maneesh The Twister, Janaka, Mercury Bonez)

Hip-Hop Don't Stop:
Derrick D (Triple Threat DJ Media), Mike Nice (Wordlife Promotions), Ren (Tru Skool), and Doc Fu (Future Primitive).
